This year's James Nicholson Wine Merchant Ulster Champion Chase at Down Royal has been awarded Grade One status for the first time, it was announced today. The three-mile contest, which will be run for the fourth time on November 9, will be worth 140,000 euros.
Looks Like Trouble, Florida Pearl and Foxchapel King are the past winners of the prestigious event. The 50,000 euro Killultagh Properties Novice Chase the same afternoon has been promoted to a Grade Three.
