Rock bids for sixth straight Group 1 win

Rock Of Gibraltar goes for a sixth straight Group One success in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday. The three-year-old will be accompanied to post by two stablemates, Shoal Creek and Sahara Desert who will ensure a decent gallop in the mile contest.

Rock Of Gibraltar will be taking on older horses for the first time and they include the first two home 12 months ago, Noverre and No Excuse Needed, both four-year-olds.

Bandari bids to atone for his failure in the Vodafone Derby when he run in the Peugeot Gordon Stakes on the opening day of Glorious Goodwood tomorrow. The Mark Johnston-trained three-year-old, who was only eighth to High Chaparral at Epsom, heads a field of five declared for the Group Three contest over a mile and a half.
