Nayef is set to bypass the Vodafone Coronation Cup at Epsom on Friday week and wait instead for Royal Ascot. The Marcus Tregoning-trained colt finished a four-and-a-half-length third to Rebelline in the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on Sunday on his first run since landing the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba in March.
'I think Epsom will come too quick now. That would have been an idea to have gone there for the Coronation Cup but that's going to come too quick I would have thought and I think he's more likely to wait now for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Ascot,' Tregoning said today.
