Nayef returns from Dubai in top form

Marcus Tregoning reports Nayef to be in top form after returning from his winter campaign in Dubai. The four-year-old is back in Britain after a successful trip to the Middle East where he was an impressive winner of the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba.

Tregoning left his charge in Dubai for a few weeks after his success but he is now back and pleasing in his work. Plans for Nayef's season are not yet set but Tregoning believes at tilt at the Coronation Cup at the Derby meeting is the most likely target. The Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on May 26 is another possibility for the son of Gulch.

Tregoning also has a leading contender for the Vodafone Oaks in Pretty Polly stakes winner Esloob. The filly was a workmanlike winner of the 10-furlong event last week and the trainer has revealed that if she is heading to Epsom, she will not have another prep run.
