Ante-post favourite for the 1,000 Guineas, Queen’s Logic has been taken out of the fillies classic by trainer Mick Channon because the foot problem which caused her to be lame yesterday morning failed to improve overnight.
“The news is a major blow to Channon who had high hopes that the Grand Lodge filly would provide him with his first Classic success”, said a spokeswomen for the Channon yard.
Queen’s Logic injury was discovered at 5.30am on Saturday morning and vets and farriers had been working round the clock in an attempt to get the filly sound. That now leaves Gossamer, another unbeaten filly the hot favourite to land the second classic of the season.
