Tragedy strikes Dalampour

The Ted Walsh trained Dalampour, winner of the Queens Vase at Royal Ascot two years ago, was killed instantly in a crashing last flight fall at Wexford this evening. Sent off the warm 2/5 favourite for the 2m novice hurdle, the 5yo was a beaten second behind eventual winner Albuquerque when suffering the crashing fall leaving rider Garrett Cotter motionless.

A concussed Cotter, who regained consciousness leaving the track, was taken to hospital for x-rays and thankfully was later reported to be fine and talking.
