Florida Pearl heads 16 preliminary entries for the Punchestown Heineken Gold Cup at Punchestown on Wednesday. The Martell Cup winner will face strong opposition in the 96,000 Euro Grade One chase over three miles and one furlong including another Aintree victor, Native Upmanship.
Other entries include The Bunny Boiler, winner of the Powers Gold Label Irish Grand National, Alexander Banquet and Dorans Pride. There will be no British representative as Lord Noelie, trained by Henrietta Knight, has been signed off for the season.
Trainer Oliver Sherwood has entered Claymore for the Menolly Homes Champion Novice Hurdle in which he could face the Christy Roche-trained Like-A-Butterfly, winner of the Gerrard Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
