McCoy sweats on doctor's verdict

Doctors are examining champion jockey Tony McCoy before giving him the green light to ride in tomorrow's Martell Grand National. McCoy was unshipped when his mount Iznogoud fell at the fourth fence in the Martell Mildmay Novices' Chase at Aintree and remained on the ground for a couple of minutes while receiving medical attention.

He was taken straight to the first aid room and missed his ride on Ravenswood in the concluding Martell Noblige Handicap Hurdle. McCoy, who earlier this week broke the record of 269 for most winners in a season, is due to ride the well-fancied Blowing Wind in tomorrow's big race.
