Sackville, the leading Irish hope for the Tote Gold Cup, will bypass the Pillar Property Chase at Cheltenham on Saturday. He will instead contest Hacketts Bookmakers Fighting Blindness Hurdle over three miles at Gowran Park on Thursday before a crack at the Irish Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown a week on Sunday.
Possible opponents on Thursday include the Mouse Morris-trained Boss Doyle. Sackville is a best-priced 8-1 for chasing's blue riband event in March.
