Navan to host seven-race card

Navan kicks off the weekend domestic action on Saturday with a seven-race card commencing at the later time of 1pm.

The feature €35,000 2m4f handicap hurdle has attracted a decent field, with recent Leopardstown maiden winner Cadou Royal likely to be popular off what looks a fair mark. Arthur Moore's six year-old should give a good account on his handicap bow, but Limerick scorer Kadoun and John Magical are sure to give him plenty to think about.

Ground Ball, an expensive failure last time, bids to atone in the 2m novice hurdle but may again have to settle for second spot, as Michael O'Brien's Petersham looks a formidable opponent.

Youlneverwalkalone, although not a betting proposition, should open his account over the larger obstacles in the 2m1f beginners' chase after his fine second to Moscow Flyer at Leopardstown.
