The Irish Field Chase tops the bill on an interesting programme at Punchestown tomorrow where the first of seven races is off at 1.15pm. Michael Mor opened his account over fences in grand style in Galway on Monday and looks to have a good chance of a quick follow-up in the feature event.
This decent hurdler jumped well for Barry Geraghty that day and should confirm the form with Sparkling Gold over this extra 3f. Woodys Blue Lagoon, like Michael Mor from the red-hot Noel Meade yard, gave the handler a double that afternoon and history could repeat itself. The improving seven year-old is re-opposed by Soltero, a disappointing favourite last time, in the opening 2m4f novice hurdle and should go in again.
Hedgehunter had the misfortune to be runner-up in all four of his bumper outings but if hurdling adequately can belatedly get off the mark in the 2m maiden.
