Frankie Dettori wants to ride the Godolphin owned Sakhee, in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe-Lucien Barriere, in October. The horse is a strong early favourite, with odds of only 5-2 available now. Dettori may not get his wish however, as owner Sheikh Hamdan is believed to want Sakhee to run in Dubai instead.
Dettori said: "I'd be keen for him to run in the Arc, because I think he's the horse they all have to beat. If Sakhee produced his York form, he'd be a worthy favourite." Sakhee won the Juddmonte International Stakes at York.
But Dettori did sound a note of caution about the likelihood of the horse running, "He always works well and he's still on course for hopefully the Arc and the Champion Stakes (in Dubai)... whatever Sheikh Hamdan wants him to run in."
