Walsh fit to ride at Fairyhouse

Irish trainer Willie Mullins revealed today that jockey Ruby Walsh will be fit to ride Micko's Dream and Joe Cullen at Fairyhouse later this week. Walsh injured himself in a fall at Ayr on Saturday and although he pulled out of yesterday's meet at Listowel, Mullins is sure the Irish jockey will be available this week. "He's been here this morning and he is quite confident he will be able to ride," confirmed Mullins today.

Walsh will ride Joe Cullen in the Grade One Winning Fair Champion Novice Hurdle tomorrow where his main rivals will include Grinkov and Edward O'Grady's Ned Kelly, who is unbeaten in his four starts over hurdles. He will be aboard Micko's Dream in tomorrow afternoon's other Grade One event, the Irish Independent Chase.
