A jackpot carryover of more than £10,000 is an added incentive for patrons at Fairyhouse tomorrow, where the first of seven races is due off at 1.55 p.m. Large fields are very much the order of the day, with the one exception of the two-mile handicap chase, where Caledonian Bridge can provide local trainer Jim Dreaper with a welcome success. The nine-year-old had been off the course for some time prior to a promising fourth behind Feeling Grand at Leopardstown recently, and can overturn that form at the revised terms.
Rua Lass is one of the most consistent performers around, and is fancied to gain another bracket in the 2m4f Mares' Novice Hurdle. Karl Wyse's mount has been absent since a fair third to Michael Mor at Christmas, and a repeat of that effort would probably suffice. The concluding bumper looks an interesting contest, with the likes of Cadou Royal, Prince of Tara and One Night Out in the line-up. Preference on this occasion is for the last-named, who looked an unlucky loser at Fairyhouse last month when forfeiting more ground than he was beaten in running wide early on.
