Jockey Richard McGrath is said to be in a comfortable condition in hospital following a heavy fall yesterday. McGrath suffered head injuries following his tumble at Cartmel while on Dorans Way in the novice chase and was rushed to Preston Acute Hospital. However, his injuries are not that serious and he is currently resting in the Accident & Emergency short-stay ward. A decision on whether to release him later today or not will be made this morning.
