Some sad news from Newport County - Kevin Feely has decided to terminate his contract and return to full-time education in Ireland.

The Athy man, a former Kildare minor footballer, joined Newport on loan from Coventry in 2014 before making the move permanent.

"The decision I made was a completely personal one, based on where I wanted to go with my life, at the moment I don't think football is where I want my future to be."

Newport have wished Kevin all the best in the future, and so do we. (And we'll be keeping an eye out for him in the Kildare SFC)
