Nhat Nguyen required just 35 minutes to ease past Nepal's Prince Dahal to make it two wins from two and set up a mouth-watering clash on Wednesday with reigning Olympic badminton champion Viktor Axelsen.

After coming through a tricky assignment against Israel’s Misha Zilberman in his opening Group P match on Saturday, the 24-year-old was strong favourite to see off his Nepalese opponent tonight.

The Team Ireland competitor duly delivered a thoroughly professional performance at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena, needing little more than half an hour to coast to a 21-7, 21-5 victory.

With only one to progress from the four-man group to the quarter-finals, it means it all comes down to his clash on Wednesday morning (8.20am) with the reigning champion Axelsen.

The Dane also defeated Zilberman (21-9, 21-11) to make it two wins from two and a winner-takes-all clash against the Nguyen.
