It could be one of those nights where you're better off staying up rather than setting the alarm early.

Just before 2am, the very impressive duo of Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy compete in the lightweight double sculls final. They will be hoping to replicate the medal-winning feats of their teammates who took home a stunning bronze in the women's four final.

We also have swimming, judo, sailing, shooting and golf events with the Irish in action throughout the day in Tokyo.

Television coverage starts from 1am on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, right through until 3.30pm.
