Thomas Barr set a new Irish record to finish four in the final of the men's 400m hurdles at the Rio Olympics. 

Despite being quick off the blocks it's wasn't the best start for Barr, but his customary flying finish almost reeled in the leaders in the final stages and he was only .05 of a second away from claiming an Olympic medal.

We'll be hearing his name for years to come, but this is the moment that Waterford's Thomas Barr announced himself on the world stage...
