Day 7 of the Rio Olympics is the busiest day for Team Ireland so far, with no less than 18 athletes plus the hockey team in action.
Ireland also has three medal chances - we keep you up to date with what’s happening and when here with our comprehensive guide.
12.52pm Golf, Seamus Power
The Waterford man shot a steady even par in what was possibly the biggest round of golf of his career so far. With no cut to worry about on Friday he can concentrate on consolidating and maybe climbing up the 60-strong leaderboard.
1.36pm Golf, Padraig Harrington
Harrington was on the pace for a while, but dropped back and his one-under-par 70 leaves him seven behind early leader Marcus Fraser of Australia. He has a fair bit of work to do to get himself back in the mix, though it isn’t beyond this experienced campaigner.
2.09pm Equestrian, Judy Reynolds
Judy Reynolds breezed through Thursday’s first round and is through to the Grand Prix Special, which is essentially the dressage semi-final. Along with her horse Vancouver K, known to the Kildare rider as JP, she has high hopes of making it all the way to the final.
2.10pm Athletics, Mark English
The Donegal medical student is one of Ireland’s few genuine world-class athletics talents, though injuries this year mean that he mightn’t be able to show his abilities on the biggest world stage. He saves his best for the major championships though, so it would be no surprise if he makes it out of his 800m heat. English competes in Heat 6 this afternoon.
2.30pm Rowing, Sinead Lynch and Claire Lambe
Rowing has been the Irish story of the Games so far with Lynch, a doctor and mother of three, and Lambe, who intends to study in Cambridge once the Olympics is over, two of the incredible women helping to write an incredible tale so far.

2.44pm Rowing, Paul O’Donovan and Gary O’Donovan
The O’Donovan brothers Paul and Gary seem to have taken these Games in their stride and after each race they joke and laugh with the cameras - as they say themselves that they love having the craic. That fun exterior hides a steely resolve though and expect that to come out on the water on Friday.
3.20pm Badminton, Scott Evans
Evans makes his first appearance of these Games, but the 28-year-old from Dundrum has the experience of London 2012 behind him. Four years ago he played in what is reckoned to be the most-watched badminton game of all time against Chinese star Lin Dan.
5.05pm Sailing, Annalise Murphy
Murphy revealed on Wednesday that sailing on choppy seas leaves her seasick, but despite this she has thrived in Guanabara Bay and the windy conditions so far have suited her. She’s leading after six races and has found the consistency she talked about in the lead-up to these Games.
5.05pm Sailing, Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern
The cheeky chappies from Northern Ireland finished 14th in London, but they are backing themselves to challenge for a medal in Rio. McGovern, 31, and Seaton, 28, got together as a team after McGovern failed to qualify for Beijing 2008 with his brother Russell.
5.05pm Sailing, Saskia Tidey and Andrea Brewster
This partnership is a mix of youth - Tidey - and experience - Brewster. And it seems to be working well for them. Once they secured their ticket to Brazil they got their heads down and immediately set their sights on getting into the medal picture in the 49erFX class.
5.15pm Sailing, Finn Lynch
Lynch is sailing well and currently lies in 24th place. He is one of the youngest helmsmen in these Games so he is picking up invaluable experience - Irish sailing authorities are hoping that he is reaching his prime in Tokyo 2020, when he’ll still just be 24 years old.
6.30pm Athletics, Alex Wright
Wright is concentrating on the 50km race walk at these Games though he will use Friday’s 20km as a tune-up - that should just tell you how fit race walkers are. He’s one of a three-strong race walking squad from this country in Rio, the others being Brendan Boyce and London 2012 50km bronze medallist Rob Heffernan.
11.30pm Hockey, Ireland v Argentina
Ireland finally achieved lift-off in game four of their six match Pool B programme. After narrow defeats to India and Germany and a five-goal thumping by Netherlands they beat Canada on Thursday. That means that if they beat Argentina they are through to the quarter-finals.
12.30am (Saturday), Athletics, Ciara Mageean
Ciara Mageean was one of Ireland’s most promising juniors this country has produced and then injury threatened to wreck her career. But she’s back to her best in 2016 after three years out and, as her recent European Championship bronze showed, she’s capable of performing in the biggest of races.
1.05am (Saturday), Badminton, Chloe Magee v Karin Schnaase
From Raphoe in Donegal, Magee lost to Yihan Wang in her first outing of the Games on Thursday. Wang is one of the gold medal favourites and it will take something special to beat experienced German Karin Schnaase and progress to the next stage.
