Andrzej Jezierski has qualified for the C1 200m canoe sprint B final.
The Ballincollig-based athlete finished fourth in his semi-final of the C1 200m event, meaning he missed out on qualification for the A final, but secured a spot in the B event.
He clocked a time of 42.012 in the semis, with Russian Ivan Shytl winning the semi in 40.346.
The B final takes place on Saturday morning.
Jezierski had earlier qualified for the semi-finals by finishing in second spot in his heat in a time of 41.404. France's Mathieu Goubel won the heat in 41.248.
