Michael Ryan helps runs the Donegan Ryan Eventing operation in Bandon, Co Cork, with his wife Patricia.
He has competed at the World Championships in Kentucky.
He hails from Oala, Co Limerick and is 37-years-old.
He is a Tattersalls Leading Rider award winner.
The eventing competition starts on 28 July. Start time is 10am.
