Ireland women's 4x400m relay team make Olympic qualification for London

The Ireland women's 4x400m relay team has qualified for the London Olympics.

The qualification period for the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m relays at the London Games ended on Monday 2 July.

The IAAF has officially named the Irish women’s 4x400m team as one of the 16 qualified teams, with the team placing 13th overall behind Italy.

The nominations by Athletics Ireland to the OCI for the team members is as follows:

Jessie Barr (Ferrybank AC)
