Winter Olympics organisers have postponed the men's downhill skiing competition until Monday due to slushy conditions on the course.

The blue riband event had been scheduled for 1145 local time (1945GMT) at Whistler Creekside.

The new start time for the men's downhill will be announced later today.

The first women's event was scheduled to be the super-combined on Sunday but that was postponed for the same reasons.
