Ukraine's Vasyl Lomachenko won the featherweight gold medal when he stopped Frenchman Khedafi Djelkhir in the first round of the final at the Olympic boxing competition on Saturday.
World championship silver medallist Lomachenko, one of the most stylish boxers in the tournament, turned on the power this time.
Djelkhir, who had impressed in earlier bouts, was stopped by the referee after receiving his third standing count with nine seconds remaining in the first round.
Semi-final losers Yakup Kilic of Turkey and Shahin Imranov of Azerbaijan shared the bronze.
