Hosts China will meet five-time world champions Brazil in the men's Olympic football tournament after the draw was made in Beijing.

China, who will be taking part in only their second Games, were drawn in Group C alongside Belgium, debutants New Zealand and Brazil, who last claimed a medal at the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996 and have never won gold.

Defending champions Argentina have been drawn alongside Australia and two nations making their debuts in the tournament, Ivory Coast and Serbia.

The United States, the women's holders, have been drawn alongside Norway, Japan and New Zealand, while China will face Sweden, Argentina and Canada.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter was present as FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke made the draw at the Regent Beijing Hotel exactly 110 days before the opening ceremony of the Games on August 8.
