British teenage boxing sensation Amir Khan outpointed Kazakhstan's Serik Yeleuov to reach Sunday's Olympic lightweight (60kg) final.
The 17-year-old from Bolton found it hard to get past the 23-year-old Kazakh's high guard and took several left crosses as he came in.
He was trailing 16-14 after two action-packed rounds but he finally found the measure of his man to open up a 27-21 lead after three rounds. He was playing with his man by the end of the fourth, winning 40-26.
Khan will face 33-year-old Cuban defending champion Mario Kindelan in the final. Kindelan eased into the gold medal contest
with a masterful beating of Russia's Murat Krachev in his semi.
For much of the bout Krachev struggled to lay a glove on Kindelan, who picked off his opponent at will with some lightning quick combinations on his way to registering a 20-10 points victory.
