Lisa Clancy has been elected as the new president of Paralympics Ireland.
Clancy, who has served as Vice-President of Paralympics Ireland since 2021, succeeds Eimear Breathnach as the organisation builds towards the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
Clancy is widely recognised for her contributions to sports governance, including her leadership role in launching the Women in Sport Leadership programme.

"I want to thank my predecessor and friend Eimear Breathnach, for her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to Paralympic sport."
"I am deeply passionate about creating an environment where our Para athletes can thrive. I look forward to working alongside our athletes, staff, and partners to continue strengthening the voice and visibility of Paralympic sport in Ireland.
"Through an athlete centred approach and collaboration with our staff, volunteers, families, sponsors and Sport Ireland, we will work to create opportunities, break down barriers, and inspire the next generation."
