Ireland's Orla Barry has finished in seventh place in the F57 discus final at the World Para-Athletics Championships in Dubai.
Barry's best effort came on her third throw as the Cork competitor recorded a distance 27.46 metres.
Nassima Saifi dominated the event, breaking her own four-year-old world record mark with two of her six throws.
The Algerian’s opening effort of 35.76m saw her break her existing record by almost a metre, with the other podium places filled by athletes who achieved new personal bests.
China’s Xu Mian sealed silver as she set a new Asian record of 31.49m, while Saifi’s compatriot Safia Djelal registered a lifetime best of 31.05m.
Barry was philosophical after the competition, and said: "I’ll just have to take a few weeks off now and reassess for next year."
Alex Lee returns to action on Sunday in the T64 100m heats.
