12:00pm Cycling - Colin Lynch, C2 Time Trial Road
Colin Lynch will have high hopes going into today's event. He'll be hoping to emulate the success of the past couple of years where he claimed time trial gold at the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Switzerland in 2015, and a silver medal at the 2016 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Ostend.
This is Lynch's second Paralympics Games after he represented Ireland at London 2012, finishing 4th in the track pursuit and 5th in the Road Time Trial.
1:49pm Cycling – Declan Slevin, H3 Time Trial Road
A member of Rosemount Cycling Club in Westmeath, Slevin has been performing well for the Irish para-cycling team over the last number of months. His initial para-sport was basketball and he still plays regularly but he became involved in handcycling after being Inspired by Austrian handcyclist, Walter Ablinger.
Slevin pushed himself to glory in May 2016 when he secured a bronze medal in the UCI Para-Cycling World Cup in South Africa, setting a new national record for the 16km Time Trial of 26:58, and he'll have that record in his sights.
2:30pm Cycling - Ciara Staunton, H2-3 Time Trial Road
Competing at her first Paralympic Games Ciara Staunton has made the switch from the Irish Wheelchair Rugby team to represent her country in hand cycling.
Staunton will be confident going into today event, having topped the World Series table this year with two Road Race silver medals at World Cups events in Ostend and South Africa.
1:30pm Shooting - Sean Baldwin, R6 50m Rifle Prone qualifier
Sean Baldwin will draw on all his experience with the Irish Defence Force when he contests the R6 50m Rifle Prone event.
Having been unfortunate in previous shooting events at these games, Baldwin will be eager to make an impact and at his preferred longer, outdoor distance, will be confident that he can progress to the final which will take place at 3:45pm
1:30pm Swimming - Ellen Keane, SB8 100m BR heats
Ellen Keane was Ireland’s youngest athlete when she swam in the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, at just 13-years-old, she competed impressively, placing sixth in the 100m breaststroke.
Then at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, she made three finals and her best finish 5th in the 100m Butterfly.
Today Keane goes in the SB8 100m Breaststroke, one of the four events that she's competing in and she'll be targeting a place in the final.
1:50pm Canoeing - Patrick O'Leary, KL3 200m heats
Competing at the Paralympics in the year when canoeing makes it's debut is the realisation of years of hard work for Patrick O'Leary.
Iin May, he came first in the 'B' final at the Paracanoeing World Cup in Germany to ensure a place slot for Ireland at the Games in Rio and has since finished fourth at the 2015 European Championships, along with making A finals at World and European Championships a staggering six times.
4:05pm Sailing - Sonar (John Twomey, Ian Costelloe and Austin O'Carroll) Race 4, followed by 5 and 6
Slack winds on Tuesday saw race four of the Sonar event pushed back to today so the Irish team of John Twomey, Ian Costelloe and Austin O'Carroll will have a very busy Wednesday with three races to get through.
Sitting in 13th place over, the Irish team will be hoping to climb the standings and ensure that Twomey gets a good send off from his 11th and final Paralympic Games.
5:30pm Cycling - Eoghan Clifford, C3 Time Trial Road
Eoghan Clifford already has a Rio medal in his back pocket, having claimed the bronze medal in the C3 Individual Pursuit.
2016 has already been a hugely successful year for the Galway man who won gold in the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup Time Trial and followed that up with a silver medal in the Road Race.
Clifford admits that he has been taking more time to focus on the Time Trial event of late and will be optimistic that he can claim his second medal of the Paralympics.
5:30pm Cycling - Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal, Women's B Time Trial Road
Katie-George Dunlevy will be hoping to put earlier disappointment behind her when she goes in the B Time Trial Road Race event this afternoon.
Dunlevy, with her pilot Eve McCrystal, missed out on a place in the bronze medal race of the women's individual pursuit by an agonising two tenths of a second. The duo finished in a fifth place in a time of 3:33.471, but just outside the fourth place that would have seen through to a medal race.
Having claimed medals at the World Road Championships and gold at the World Cup in May, Dunleavy is a real contender here.
5:30pm Cycling - Damien Vereker and Sean Hahessy, Men's B Time Trial Road
Having struggled slightly on an unusual track in the 4K pursuit event, Damien Vereker and Sean Hahessy will be hoping to make more of an impression on the road.
Vereker and Hahessy finished eighth in the individual tandem 4K pursuit, which was below what they were hoping for.
However, the Road Race is their preferred event and with a first place at the Cycling World Cup in South Africa this year, signs are good for the duo.
5:30pm Cycling - Peter Ryan and Marcin Mizgajski, Men's B Time Trial Road
Currently in college studying Strength and Conditioning, Peter Ryan has been performing well in his country’s colours in recent times.
Along with his pilot Marcin Mizgajski, he was crowned national champion in 2013 and secured an eighth place finish at the World Championships in 2015 and will be hoping to at least secure a season's best time here.
6pm Soccer - Men's CP 7-A-Side, Ireland v USA
It's been a tough Paralympics for the Ireland Men's CP 7-A-Side team, but they have the chance to sign off in style this evening with a 7th/8th place play-off clash with the USA.
