Two sleeps until match day.

The excitement is a bit like Christmas in the Paralympic Village, only with a little more trepidation. Most of the teams have arrived by now and the place has really filled up.

We arrived in the Village late on Friday after travelling from the training camp in Portugal. I was exhausted after the day's travel and it took me another day to adjust properly and find my bearings in the Village.

Day one training was okay, but day two training was much improved.

We had access to our field of play on Monday - I think - all the days seem to blend into one in the Village.

I'm informed today is Tuesday! It was great to get into the field of play and get accustomed to the tables and seating arrangements and even to figure out the way in and out.

All the corridors in the ExCel look the same and the place is huge. Thankfully I'm a bit like a homing pigeon and have a good sense of direction.

We also received our competition draw yesterday. I had such a bad draw in Beijing that I wasn't bothered by who I got as I knew it couldn't have been any worse or even as bad again.

I have the same draw that I had in the Europeans last year. My first match is against the world number two Pamela Pezzutto from Italy and my second match is again Florence Sireau Gossiaux.

I lost both matches in the Europeans last year so I am happy to have a chance to rectify that!

I'm sure I'll be more nervous on Thursday, but thankfully I'm really enjoying the Paralympic experience so far and can't wait to get started.

Bring it on.
