Anthony (Ant) Hegarty has been involved in sailing since 2005 and has since competed in all IFDS World Championships.
The 3-person keepboat's final position of seventh at the IFDS World Championships in 2012 puts them in a favourable position going into London 2012.
As an integral part of the sonar keelboat crew, Hegarty and his team-mates John Twomey and Ian Costelloe are confident of performing well at London 2012, Hegarty’s first games.
