Eilish Byrne and her horse Youri were the only Irish equestrian representatives at Beijing 2008.
They competed well attaining eighth in the freestyle event and 11th in the championship event.
She has also competed in the World Championships in 2007 in Hartpury where she finished in ninth position.
This time, also competing in the team event, she will again be partnered by Youri and aims to improve on her performances in Beijing.
