Ireland's Nhat Nguyen is through to the quarter-finals at the European Badminton Championships after beating Finland's Kalle Koljonen on Thursday.
The Dubliner, who is seeded sixth in the men's singles at the championships in Huelva, Spain, narrowly won the opening game 21-19.
The two-time Olympian was more convincing when winning the second game of the best-of-three format on a 21-13 scoreline.
In the quarters, Nguyen will face Denmark's Anders Antonsen, the two-time European champion and current world no 2.
