Ahead of the RTÉ Sport Awards, the six nominees for the RTÉ Sport Manager of the Year award have been named, with Aidan O'Brien, Cathal Murray, Jack O'Connor, Liam Cahill, Stephen Bradley and Willie Mullins all in the running to lift the prestigious accolade.
Joanne Cantwell, Darragh Maloney and David Gillick will present the awards ceremony from Studio 4 in RTÉ on Saturday, 20 December, with the action broadcast live on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player from 8.05pm.
The awards being handed out on the night in front of an audience of Irish sports stars include the RTÉ Sport Sportsperson of the Year, the RTÉ Sport Team of the Year, the RTÉ Sport Manager of the Year and the RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year.

Aidan O'Brien - Horse Racing
Crowned champion Flat trainer in both Ireland and Britain, O'Brien became the outright most successful trainer in the history of the Breeders' Cup, achieving his 21st victory with Gstaad in the Juvenile Turf at Del Mar.

Cathal Murray – Camogie
Murray guided the Galway team to victory in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship and was named the PwC Camogie Manager of the Year.

Jack O’Connor - Gaelic Football
O'Connor led Kerry as they won league, Munster and All-Ireland honours in a landmark year for football by securing their 39th All-Ireland title, winning his fifth Sam Maguire as manager.

Liam Cahill – Hurling
Cahill managed Tipperary to unexpected Liam MacCarthy glory having been under a lot of pressure from the year before.

Stephen Bradley – Soccer
Key achievements include winning the League of Ireland Premier Division and the FAI Cup, securing the club's first domestic double since 1987. Bradley and Rovers also earned a spot in the UEFA Conference League group stage for the third time in four seasons.

Willie Mullins – Horse Racing
Crowned champion National Hunt trainer in both Ireland and Britain, Mullins registered a record-equalling 10 winners at the Cheltenham Festival, a third Grand National victory, and his first win at the Breeders' Cup.
