Mayo's Oisín Mullin is in line to win his first AFL Premiership while Mark O’Connor is hoping to double up after the Geelong Cats secured a Grand Final spot at the expense of Hawthorn.
Former Mayo man Mullin kicked his first goal for the Cats earlier this month, and in front of 99,597 at the MCG, he and O’Connor both featured in the 115-85 preliminary final win, with Meath’s Conor Nash kicking a goal for the Hawks.
It marks the third time in six years that Geelong have reached the final with Kerry’s O’Connor playing a part in their 2022 success.

Mullin is hoping to join O’Connor, Zach Tuohy, Conor McKenna and Tadgh Kennelly as Irish AFL winners.
Collingwood or holders Brisbane await in the final with the sides set to meet on Saturday (8.15am Irish time) for a spot in the 27 September final. Derry’s Ruairi Forbes and Offaly’s Cillian Bourke will be present at that decider before competing in an AFL combine in October.
McKenna, meanwhile, has not been included in the Brisbane squad for their preliminary final. The Tyrone man played in the side's VFL semi-final loss to Box Hill last week, scoring two goals.
