Adelaide Crows 30-28 Collingwood
Ailish Considine and the Adelaide Crows had to withstand a strong Collingwood fightback to return to the top of the ladder after a narrow win at the Norwood Oval on Sunday.
Considine racked up seven disposals and a tackle as Danielle Ponter's goal in the final term proved enough despite Chloe Molloy’s late response.
Mayo’s Sarah Rowe was one of the top performers for the Pies while Aishling Sheridan was also heavily involved and made four tackles.
Freemantle Dockers 19-107 Melbourne Demons
Melbourne kept the pressure on Adelaide with a comprehensive win in Western Australia against Freemantle.
Their free-scoring form meant that they made history by becoming the first AFLW team to break the 100-point barrier.
Leitrim’s Áine Tighe was given the unenviable task of marking the in-form Tayla Harris, who finished with three goals, while Sinéad Goldrick also featured for the victors.
West Coast Eagles 8-68 Western Bulldogs
The Eagles played their first match at Optus Stadium under lights on Saturday but it was a bad day for their Irish contingent as they were outclassed by the Bulldogs.
Grace Kelly and Niamh Kelly both featured but it was a tough outing as the Bulldogs managed to enter their forward 50 on 37 occasions to the Eagles' 17 in the 10.8 (68) to 1.2 (8) result.
Niamh Kelly had nine disposals and had a few good runs down the line to finish the game with 264 metres gained.
GWS Giants 38-46 Richmond
The Giants fell to an eight-point loss to Richmond despite yet another sensational performance from Cora Satunton.

The Mayo player scored three goals in the final quarter as the hosts tried to battle back from an awful start.
Bríd Stack had already landed a goal by the time Staunton attempted to spearhead a fine comeback, but the Giants fell short despite four final-term goals.
Brisbane 50-14 North Melbourne
Despite being so close to each other in the overall ladder, Brisbane were far too strong for North Melbourne on Sunday.
Severe flooding in southeast Queensland meant some Lions players had to fight to save houses in the days before their home game was moved from Maroochydore to Melbourne's Whitten Oval.
Aileen Gilroy had 12 disposals and three tackles for the Kangaroos but they were outclassed throughout.
St Kilda 18-9 Geelong
Rachael Kearns managed two behinds as Geelong racked up a paltry total of nine points in their loss to St Kilda.
The home side didn’t do much better, finishing with 18, but it was enough for them to draw level with their opponents in the table.
In round nine's other game, Carlton were 46-16 victors against Gold Coast Suns.
