Derryman Anton Tohill has signed a new one-year deal with AFL outfit Collingwood.

Tohill moved Down Under two years ago when he was just 18. He returned home to Ireland in March after the outbreak of Covid-19 but was given the green light to go back to Australia in May, when the Aussie Rules season resumed.

The son of former Derry footballer Anthony Tohill won Ulster football titles at minor and under-20 level.

Tohill's two-year international B rookie contract with Collingwood expired in October, but he has now been tied down for 2021.
