Irish wrestler handed four-year ban for doping offence

Irish amateur wrestler Lisa Farrelly has been handed a four-year ban for an anti-doping violation, according to a joint statement released by Sport Ireland and the Irish Amateur Wrestling Association. 

Farrelly tested positive for the banned substances stanozolol, methylhexaneamine and dimenthylpentylamine following her participation in the Irish Open on 2 November 2019. 

The Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel determined that Farrelly had committed the doping infractions and have imposed a four-year ban on the wrestler, commencing on 4 December 2019. 

Farrelly's results from 2 November 2019 are also disqualified.

She didn't attend the hearing.
