Yan Bingtao will play Judd Trump in Sunday's Coral Players Championship final after cruising to a 6-1 victory against Shaun Murphy in Southport.

China's world number 18 Bingtao gained revenge over the Englishman, who edged a marathon encounter 6-5 at the same stage of the Welsh Open earlier this month.

Bingtao hit two century breaks - in the second and sixth frames - and never looked in danger of losing control after storming into a 3-0 lead.

After taking the opening frame, a score of 104 put the 20-year-old 2-0 up and two brilliant doubles on reds helped him to wrap up the third.

Murphy, who thrashed Kyren Wilson 9-1 in the Welsh Open final two weeks ago, pulled it back to 3-1 before the mid-session interval.

But Bingtao responded with another half-century break to go 4-1 up and then produced  a score of 106 to make it 5-1 before sealing his victory in a closely-fought seventh frame.

Reigning world champion Trump defeated Stephen Maguire 6-5 in his semi-final on Friday.
