Aaron Judge hit his 100th home run of his MLB career as the New York Yankees shut out the Seattle Mariners 7-0.

Brett Gardner added a three-run homer in the third as New York opened up a one game lead at the top of the Atlantic League East over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Rays went down heavily to the Houston Astros for their third loss on the bounce.

Houston scored multiple runs in each of the third to sixth innings, while Joey Wendle's homer in the seventh was just a consolation for the Rays who went down 15-1. 

The Baltimore Orioles won their third match in a row 2-0 over the Washington Nationals, the Pittsburgh Pirates left it late to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-4 and the National League East leading Atlanta Braves went down 3-1 to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Franmil Reyes hit a three-run homer as the Cleveland Indians saw off the Detroit Tigers 10-1, the Chicago Cubs defeated the New York Mets 5-2 and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Miami Marlins 8-5.

Elsewhere, the St Louis Cardinals - leading the National League Central - beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3, the Minnesota Twins saw off the Chicago White Sox 3-1, the Oakland Athletics scored early in a 2-1 win over the Kansas City Royals, and the Boston Red Sox scored four in the seventh in a 10-6 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Mike Trout hit his 43rd homer of the season in a 5-2 win for the Los Angeles Angels over the Texas Rangers, the Arizona Diamondbacks saw off the San Francisco Giants 3-2 and the Los Angeles Dodgers swept past the San Diego Padres 9-0.
