Emma Slevin (Gymnastics): The Galway native has been chosen as the flag bearer at the Parade of Nations and will compete in artistic programme, being Ireland's first ever gymnast at the Youth Olympic Games
Ireland have sent a team of 16 athletes to participate at the Youth Olympic Games, which take place in Buenos Aires.
Miriam Daly (Athletics): The Carrick-on-Suir native goes in the 400m hurdles. Daly reached the semi-finals of the European U-18 championships during the summerDean Clancy (Boxing): The young flyweight (left) took silver at the European Youth Boxing Championships in April of this yearMiranda Tcheutchoua (Athletics): The Lusk hammer thrower competed at the European U-18 games in the summer. Her personal best is currently 61.73mNhat Nguyen (Badminton): A real prospect in the badminton competition, the young Dubliner is seeded third in Buenos AiresSophie Meredith (Athletics): The Newcastle West 17-year-old also competed at the European U-18s and has a long jump PB of 6.02mLauren Kelly (Boxing): The Edenderry middleweight (right) fought at the World Youth Championships during the summer and took European youth bronze earlier this yearTanya Watson (Diving): The Southampton native finished seventh in the 10m Platform event at the senior European Championships in Glasgow in August and is expected to be in contention in Argentina
Dearbhla Rooney (Boxing): The Leitrim native (left) will fight at bantamweight at the Youth Games. Rooney took silver at the 2018 youth EuropeansSean McCarthy Crean (Karate): The Cork teenager will compete in the +68kg category in Argentina, having secured silver at the Junior Europeans in Sochi last FebruaryRobert Powell (Swimming): The Athlone teenager gained great experience as he competed at the European Championships during the summer. Powell will compete in the 50m and 100m freestyle as well as the 50m butterflyGeorgia Drummy (Tennis): The Dubliner has relocated to Florida as she attempts to break through on the tennis circuit. Drummy reached the quarter-finals of the Girls Doubles at Wimbledon this year and recently competed in the Girls US OpenLauren Crowley Walsh (Golf) The Castlewarden GC member recently competed in the World Junior Girls Championships in Canada. The Kildare native will compete in both the individual and mixed team competitions in Buenos AiresNiamh Coyne (Swimming): The Tallaght athlete will race in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke in Buenos Aires, having competed at the World Juniors last yearMona McSharry (Swimming): The World Junior gold medallist will be looking for a podium placing in Argentina. The Sligo native will race in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as the 50m freestyleDavid Kitt (Golf) The Galway native will also compete in the individual and mixed team competitions in Buenos Aires, playing alongside Lauren Crowley Walsh. The Athenry golfer has previously represented Ireland at the European Boys Team Championships
