Top seed Arthur Gaskin saw off veteran Steve Richardson to reach Sunday’s final at Senior Squash Championships at Fitzwilliam LTC in Dublin.
Carlow man Gaskin, who plays as a full-time professional in the USA, just had too much for the 44-year-old Ballymena player Richardson, winning 12-10, 11-2, 11-5.
Gaskin will face fellow Carlow man Brian Byrne in the final, who beat current Irish junior champion Michael Craig 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.
Women’s top seeds Madeline Perry and Aisling Blake both had 3-0 victories in their semi finals. Defending champion Perry, world number 14, beat the 17-year-old Hannah Craig from Belfast. In the other Semi Final, an all Connacht affair, Blake beat Laura Mylotte.
