Ireland's women's team beat New Zealand 2-1 this evening to reach the quarter finals in the Squash World Championships in Canada.

Both Madeline Perry and Aisling Blake won their matches, while Laura Mylotte lost 3-1 to New Zealand’s Kylie Lindsay.

Perry won a pulsating encounter against Amanda Landers-Murphy 3-2, after which Blake powered to a 3-1 over the 20-year-old Megan Craig.
