Scott Evans has fallen short of glory at the BitBurger Open, losing in the final to World No 8 Chou Tien-chen.
After an impressive performance all week, Evans could not contend with the talent of his Taiwanese opponent, losing 17-21 10-21.
Scott now returns to Dublin for next weekend's European Mixed Team Championship qualifying rounds where Team Ireland will take on Norway, Slovakia and Bulgaria for a place in the Championships.
If successful, it will be the first time Ireland has made it to the championships which will take place in Belgium next February.
