Ireland's Lisa Kearney made history in Birmingham when she became the first Irish Judo athlete to reach a World Cup final.
Kearney recorded three comprehensive wins including a spectacular knockout against the 2009 Brazilian World Cup Champion Taciana Lima to reach the final.
Kearney's performance was all the more remarkable after spending the last the years out of competition due to surgery and rehabilitation.
However, the West Belfast student was disappointed with her performance in the final contest and has decided to leave immediately for Strasbourg for an intense seven day International Training Camp before resuming her regular full-time training schedule in Edinburgh.
