Max Verstappen has confirmed he will complete a bucket-list target by competing in the 24-hour Nurburgring race in May.
The four-time Formula One world champion will drive a Mercedes-AMG at the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife venue from 14-17 May, making his debut in the classic German endurance race.
Verstappen will prepare for the race in March around his F1 commitments with Red Bull, with the event itself taking place between the Miami and Canadian Grand Prixs.
Verstappen said: "The Nurburgring Nordschleife is a special place. There's no other track like it. The 24h Nurburgring is a race that’s been on my bucket list for a long time, so I’m really thrilled we can make it happen now."
