Ireland's Alex Dunne finished third in the opening sprint race of the Formula 2 season in Melbourne.
Starting eighth on the grid, the Offaly driver, once again part of the Rodin team, finished fourth on the road after overtaking Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak on the final lap.
Following the race, he was promoted to third spot after his team-mate Martinius Stenshorne was penalised.
Joshua Duerksen crossed in first place ahead of Noel Leon.
The 20-year old Dunne will start in third position in the grid in tomorrow's feature race (12.25am Irish time) which precedes the Formula 1 opener at Albert Park.
The 20-year old Dunne, who joined Alpine F1's junior programme for 2026, finished fifth in last year's Formula 2 championship, winning two races in Bahrain and at the famous track in Imola in San Marino.
