William Creighton won the Manley Trophy as the international driver of the year at the annual Irish Motorsport awards in Dublin today.

Creighton won the award as voted for by members of the Irish Motorsport press ,having become the first Junior WRC victor Ireland has produced since the late Craig Breen's WRC Academy win back in 2011.

Breen’s title win 12 years ago was pivotal to shaping his future WRC career and could offer the same potential for Creighton.

Breen, whose family were in attendance at the award ceremony, was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame

Meanwhile 19-year-old Jack Brennan from Kilkenny won Motorsport Ireland’s Billy Coleman Young Rally Driver of the Year Award, while 20-year-old Jack Byrne won the Sexton Trophy as the Young Racing Driver of 2023.
