Motorsport Ireland have extended the suspension of all events until 20 July.
The decision was made at a Motor Sport Council meeting on Tuesday night and will see action return during phase four of the Government's road map that will see the gradual easing of restrictions brought in to slow the spread of Covid-19.
Rally events however will not take place until after the 10 August 2020 as they fall under phase five of the guidelines.
These dates may have to be revised if there are further changes to government policy.
In a statement, Motorsport Ireland said: "Government guidelines will at all times dictate what and when it happens, but the Taoiseach has laid out a road to return and when it is appropriate, motorsport will do so."
